Appointments
Routine Appointments
An appointment system is in operation. Appointments can be made at the desk or by telephone. We will try to fit you in with your preferred doctor whenever possible, but please remember that your usual doctor may not be available for a few days.
If you miss your appointment, you will need to re-book; at busy times we cannot guarantee that this will be on the same day as your original appointment.
Advanced Access Appointments
We operate an advanced access appointments system in line with government directive. A percentage of morning appointments can be pre-booked up to at least one week in advance. The remaining morning appointments will be booked on the day.
A small percentage of pre-bookable afternoon appointments are available in advance and on the morning of each day. The remainder can be booked at 3.30pm.
Please ask at reception for details if you are working.
Urgent Problems
If you have an urgent medical problem, the on-call doctor will see or speak to you as soon as possible. You may be asked to attend the surgery and wait until there is a doctor available. Please only ask for an urgent appointment if you have a problem that cannot wait.
Temporary Residents
You are able to see a doctor anywhere in the UK if you are away from home and in need of medical help. You can do this by simply asking to see the nearest doctor as a temporary resident. We will be happy to see any relatives or friends staying with you if they need a doctor.
Home Visits
If you are too unwell to attend the surgery, please phone before 10.00am if possible, giving brief details of your problem, so that the doctor can plan his visits in order of urgency. Home visits are for people who are genuinely housebound.
Remember, we can see three or four people in the surgery in the time an average visit takes.
Test Results
Please phone after 11.00am to allow time for the post to be seen by the doctors. We will only give results to you personally unless you have authorised otherwise.
